Rare & Worthy
When I started this little blog {4 years ago in May} I never dreamed I might be where I am today. You see, I left my steady job in advertising when we moved from San Francisco to Connecticut with big dreams of the freedom of an entrepreneurial lifestyle, but absolutely no serious, tangible idea on how to get started.
I began blogging to document all of the DIY projects I was working on while I furnished our first real home with mere pennies to pinch. I thrifted and refinished because I had to, and soon a hobby turned into a passion. I began taking on real design clients {not just my Mom and friends} and started reselling vintage finds on Etsy. We moved into a second home in Connecticut {with a larger office space for me!} and I started working with One Kings Lane as a vintage and market finds vendor. I ventured into selling larger furniture and antiques and, after our move back to Virginia, I opened up my first {TINY} retail space {MORE ON THAT SOON!}....
I continue to dream about owning a real retail shop of my own that sells not only RARE vintage finds, but WORTHY retail products, as well.
A few months ago, my husband and I hatched the idea of an online shop of our own. We're in the process of building the site now. It'll start off with a vintage focus and eventually we hope to develop our own retail products. You'll see Rare & Worthy popping up here and there, but I'll be sure to keep you in the loop once we're ready for a hard launch!
Of All the Fish will still live on as a place for me to blog and share the different projects we're working on.
We've got a lot up our sleeves for 2014- we hope you'll stick around! xx
